Memolect is an AI-powered meeting assistant specifically designed for engineering teams. It automatically records, transcribes, and analyzes your Zoom and Google Meet sessions, making it easy to track decisions, action items, and technical discussions.

Memolect provides several ways to interact with your meeting data and ensure your engineering discussions are captured and accessible.

Dashboard Overview

When you log into Memolect, you'll see your main dashboard with the following sections:

  • Meetings Tab: View all recorded meetings, transcripts, and summaries
  • Add Bot To Live Meeting: Manually add the Memolect bot to ongoing meetings
  • Calendar Integration: Connect your Google Calendar for automatic meeting joining
  • Search: Query your meeting history using natural language
  • Integrations: Connect with Jira, GitHub, Confluence, and other tools

🤖 Adding Bot to Meetings

There are two primary ways to get the Memolect bot into your meetings:

Method 1: Manual Meeting URL

Copy Your Meeting Link

From your Zoom or Google Meet invitation, copy the meeting URL. This typically looks like:

Navigate to "Add Bot To Live Meeting"

In your Memolect dashboard, find the "Add Bot To Live Meeting" section.

Paste the Meeting Link

Paste your meeting URL into the input field and click "Add Bot". The Memolect bot will join your meeting within 30 seconds.

💡 Pro Tip

You can add the bot to meetings that are already in progress. The bot will capture everything from the moment it joins.

Method 2: Automatic Calendar Integration

For seamless automation, connect your Google Calendar to have Memolect automatically join all your scheduled meetings.

Connect Google Calendar

In your Memolect dashboard, navigate to the Calendar Integration section and click "Connect Google Calendar".

Grant Permissions

Authorize Memolect to read your calendar events. We only access meeting information and never modify your calendar.

Configure Auto-Join Settings

Choose which types of meetings the bot should automatically join (all meetings, meetings with specific keywords, meetings with certain attendees, etc.).

In your Memolect dashboard, click on the "Meetings" tab to view all your recorded meetings.

You can browse chronologically or use the search functionality to find specific meetings by date, attendees, or keywords.

Memolect is a cloud-based service that doesn't require any software installation on your computer or in your Zoom account.

Getting Access

To start using Memolect:

  1. Join our waitlist at memolect.com
  2. Receive your invitation email with login credentials
  3. Log into your Memolect dashboard
  4. Start adding bots to meetings immediately

What You Need

  • A modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
  • Access to Zoom or Google Meet meetings
  • Internet connection for the Memolect bot to join meetings

đŸ—‘ī¸ Uninstallation

â„šī¸ No Uninstallation Required

Since Memolect doesn't install any software on your devices or integrate directly with your Zoom account via OAuth, there's no traditional "uninstallation" process.

Discontinuing Service

If you want to stop using Memolect:

  1. Stop Adding Bots: Simply stop adding the Memolect bot to your meetings
  2. Disconnect Calendar: If you've connected Google Calendar, revoke access in your dashboard
  3. Download Data: Export any meeting transcripts or summaries you want to keep
  4. Cancel Account: Contact support to close your account and delete your data

Meeting transcripts and data are retained according to our privacy policy. Contact hello@thememolect.com to request complete data deletion.

🔧 Troubleshooting

Common Issues

Bot Not Joining Meeting

  • Verify the meeting URL is correct and active
  • Check that the meeting hasn't started yet or is still ongoing
  • Ensure the meeting doesn't require a password (or provide the password)
  • Wait up to 2 minutes - the bot may need time to connect

Missing Transcripts

  • Transcripts appear 5-10 minutes after the meeting ends
  • Very short meetings (under 2 minutes) may not generate transcripts
  • Check your internet connection during the meeting

Calendar Integration Issues

  • Re-authorize Google Calendar permissions
  • Check that your calendar events have meeting links
  • Verify auto-join settings in your dashboard
