Welcome to Memolect! By accessing or using our service ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Memolect.

1. Overview

Memolect is an AI meeting assistant that joins virtual meetings, transcribes them, summarizes discussions, updates tools like Jira/Confluence/Linear, and enables search over past calls.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Memolect. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

3. Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Not misuse or abuse the Service (e.g., reverse engineering, spamming, or violating intellectual property rights).
• Not share your account credentials or access with unauthorized users.

You are responsible for any content (audio, text, files) you submit, upload, or allow Memolect to access.

4. Account & Access

To use Memolect, you may need to create an account and connect third-party tools (e.g., Google Meet, Jira). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.

You can request account deletion at any time by contacting hello@thememolect.com.

5. Data & Privacy

Our handling of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using Memolect, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described there.

You retain ownership of your data; we only use it to provide and improve the Service.

6. Subscriptions and Payment

If you purchase a subscription:

• You agree to pay all fees in accordance with your chosen plan.
• Payments are non-refundable unless required by law.
• We may change pricing with reasonable prior notice.

7. Termination

You may stop using Memolect at any time.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or abuse the Service. We may also terminate accounts after extended inactivity or upon discontinuation of the Service (with prior notice where possible).

8. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in Memolect and its technology (excluding your data) remain with us or our licensors. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from Memolect without written permission.

9. Disclaimers

• Memolect is provided "as is" and "as available."
• We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that data will always be preserved.
• We are not responsible for losses caused by incorrect meeting transcriptions, summaries, or third-party integrations.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Memolect shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, profits, or business opportunities.

11. Modifications

We may revise these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email or in-app. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
